PRESENTS: *"LAYLATUL-QADR"*
Assalamu alaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuhu
In the name of Allah, The Beneficent, The Merciful.
Respectable brothers and Sisters, as we all know the month Of Ramadan
is coming to an end and we are approaching or have approached the last
ten days of Ramadan so to speak.
In this last ten days of Ramadan, there is a sacred night known as *"LAYLATUL-QADR"* (The Night of Power or Majesty).
It is in this blessed night that destinies are being transformed overnight.
Allah says in the holy Qur'an :
- We have indeed revealed this (Qur'an) in the Night of Power
- And what will explain to thee what the night of power is?
- The Night of Power is better than a thousand months.
The above three verses are contained in Suratul-Qadr (Qur'an 97).
Subhanllah!! This night of power is better than a thousand months. Ya salaam!!
Brothers and Sisters, will you ever want to miss a Project worth 10million in this Dunya?
Then think of having a reward of a thousand months with Allah!!!.
These nights are giving to us for sincere Tawbah, from the bottom of
our hearts let's make promise with Allah never to go back to our evil
ways and Allah is ever ready to forgive us.
The prophet (Peace be Upon him) said and this Hadith was narrated by Ibn Abbas :
*"Allah's messenger (peace be upon him) said ; The night of Qadr is in
the last ten nights of the months of Ramadan, either on the first nine
or in the last (remaining) seven nights of Ramadan" (Bukhari).*
Will you seek for rewards in this blessed night or remain idle and
engage In foul talks whereas the prophet peace be upon him has
prescribed what we are to say for us.
On the Authority of the Mother of the Faithful
(Aisha; peace be upon her) :
" Aisha (RA) asked the prophet (SAW) If I see Laylatul Qadr what should I say. In response he said say:
*"Allahumma innaka afuwun, tuhibbul afwa fa afu'annah"*
"O Allah! You are full of pardon, You love pardoning, please pardon me"
Subhanallah! Such pleasing words.
It is also in the last ten days that Spiritual Seclusion (I'tikaf) was
prescribed by the prophet in order to increase our links with Allah and
earn his mercy.
It was narrated on the Authority of Abu Huraira that :
*"The prophet used to perform I'tikaf every year in the month of
Ramadan for ten days, and when it was the year of his death, he stayed
in I'tikaf for twenty days" (Bukhari).*
If we are also capable of
doing so we should try and do it in order to earn the pleasure of Allah
and if we can't, we should seek for Allah's mercy in our various homes
and Allah will accept our prayers.
Let us distance ourselves from sins in the last then days for
as the good deeds are most rewarding so are the bad ones.
May Allah grant us goodness and May He forgive our shortcomings in the
blessed month of Ramadan and make us witness more in life and grant us
all Jannah.
Wassalamu alaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuhu.
